Biography:Alan Savage has been a police officer since the age of 19, completing 25 years service in July 2015. He lived with his wife in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland before moving to Dumfries and Galloway in 2005, and are long-term foster carers to two teenage boys. He got into RIBs and boating due to a friendship with another crew member, Peter G, back in 2000, and was a volunteer lifeboat crew member on Donaghadee lifeboat for five years. Alan is also a management committee member of his local harbour action group, trying to make Annan harbour more accessible and user-friendly for the entire community. |
